the mcp webui 2 0 is the new universal webui that can be used with the following 8bitmods smart memory cards memcard pro (mcp002) memcard pro2 memcard pro gc vmupro (coming soon) in order to be able to use the webui 2 0 your device needs to be on the latest firmware please make sure you update your device before attempting to use the webui 2 0 your device needs to be connected to your local wifi network in order to use mcp webui 2 0 you also need an internet connected device that is connected on the same local wifi network for webui 2 0 to work your device needs to be on a compatible firmware version to work with webui 2 0! download the latest firmware below memcard pro (mcp002) https //distribution appcake co uk/install/8bitmods/apps/memcard pro/public memcard pro2 https //distribution appcake co uk/install/8bitmods/apps/memcard pro2/public memcard pro gc https //distribution appcake co uk/install/8bitmods/apps/memcard pro gc/public connecting to webui 2 0 after your device has booted up and connected to your wifi network, open the https //memcard pro ( https //memcard pro ) you will land on the home page as per the image below before attempting to connect to your device you first need to bypass your browser's self signed certificate screen our devices use a self signed certificate as they are only advertised on the local network using mdns services it is perfectly safe to bypass this as no data is gathered by our devices, or transmitted over the internet read below on how to bypass this depending on the device you're attempting to connect to, you need to visit the old device webui memcard pro https //memcardpro local memcard pro2 https //memcardpro2 local memcard pro gc https //memcardprogc local vmupro https //vmupro locla the above addresses are advertised on your local network through a mdns service this may not work on all local wifi network routers if you are not able to visit the corresponding address for your device, you will need to use the device ip address to be able to connect with the webui please see your device's manual for instructions on how to obtain your device's ip address any device https //\[device ip address]/ when you visit any of the above addresses and it successfully loads, you will see a warning from your browser depending on the browser you use, the warning and steps to follow will be different below you can find an example of the steps for firefox in the image above, click "advanced " the screen will change to this click "accept the risk and continue" the browser will then load the old webui once it loads, you can close the tab and you can now use the webui 2 0 return to webui 2 0 and click the connect button it will attempt to discover any devices you have on your network if you have multiple devices of the same type (i e more than one memcard pro gc for example) it is recommended to use the ip address to connect to each of them, as the mdns names will be the same among them and only one can be discovered at a time if devices are successfully found on your network, you will be presented with a list to select which one you want to connect to, as per the image below if no devices are found, or if you prefer to connect to it over ip address by pressing the "connect by ip" button, you will be given the option to enter the ip address of the device you want to connect to press connect the webui will connect to your device and will populate the home page from this page you can view information about your currently loaded game, have access to quick controls and view some statistics about the last 10 played games and your top 10 played games these statistics are tracked when a gameid command is received by the device you can also quickly mount a virtual memory card by pressing the play button, set it as your default boot card (if you have that option enabled in the settings) or download the virtual memory card to your computer the vmc browser the vmc browser is where you can manage the virtual memory cards that have been created on your device you can create a new one, mount, set it as default, link to another card, download, rename, delete or fetch its name from the internal database you can also search by name or gameid, filter by system (on mcp1 / mcp2 only), view the size in blocks (gamecube) or kb/mb (ps1/ps2) and refresh the list (gamecube) the table displays quick information about each virtual memory card on your device you can see a small thumbnail of its cover art and the assigned name (either matched from the internal database, or set by you if you renamed it) in the second line under the name, you can see the virtual memory card's mapped gameid used to identify it uniquely against a specific game if there is a green link icon next to the gameid it means that this gameid has been linked against the second gameid next to it in green this means that when your console attempts to load the gameid in grey, it will instead load the gameid in green this allows you to use an alternative virtual memory card when loading a specific games this is useful for games that have hidden functionality when they find saves from other games, like mgs for example gameid link functionality in order to link a game against another game's virtual memory card, you will need to have created virtual memory cards for each of these games you can easily do this by launching the game you want to link to another game once, and allowing the device to create a virtual memory card for it in the example below, we'll link the game the scorpion king to super mario sunshine when we load the scorpion king game, the virtual memory card for super mario sunshine will load instead first, click the link button next to the scorpion king game the link card modal window will appear search or scroll to the super mario sunshine entry and select it, then click the link button the two gameids will be linked, and you will see a confirmation toaster message as below the link button will be marked green on the master card and the linked gameid will appear next to its real gameid creating new virtual memory cards in the vmc browser you can create a new virtual memory card manually these cards will not be used for the gameid automatic detection system, but can be used for archival purposes, for creating a default boot card etc to create a new card press the "add new +" button you will see the create new memory card modal window here, simply enter the name you want to give to your virtual memory card, and the size (ps1 no size selection available, ps2 available sizes in mb, gc available sizes in usable blocks) then click the create button to create the new card your new card will be created on the device and will be automatically mounted settings finally, the last available page on the webui 2 0 is the device settings on this page you can view and change various settings for the device changing a setting on this page will take effect immediately and will be stored to your device
