my vmupro is frozen and is not responding to inputs what can i do? there are cases where the vmupro may halt due to an internal error in cases where the display becomes completely unresponsive, you can hard reset the device by inserting a pin eject tool or similar non sharp object into the pinhole next to the power on button on the side of the device once inserted, you will feel a "click" of a button, which will reboot your vmupro device my vmupro is not charging in my gamepad / my vmupro stops charging in my gamepad the vmupro has an intelligent battery management system that continuously monitors the state of the battery, and the charging current and voltage when this is out of safe bounds, it will terminate charging to protect the battery and your dreamcast further to this, the vmupro needs at least 15 seconds before it starts charging in the gamepad, in order to take current and voltage measurements if the first round of measurements is satisfactory, the battery will start charging if not, it will retry 3 further times, each time taking a further 10 seconds if all attempts fail to take satisfactory measurements, charging will not initiate, but the dreamcast should still be powering the vmupro, therefore the battery should not be discharging this process can be reset by simply removing and re inserting the vmupro to your controller however, we would advise you to investigate why this may be happening in the first place with your dreamcast in often cases, this can be caused by an aging power supply, insufficient or incorrect resettable controller fuse fitted to your dreamcast, or a semi blown controller fuse on your dreamcast's controller board warning working with power supplies can be deadly we strongly advise that you do not try to self diagnose or service high voltage power supplies like the one fitted in your sega dreamcast always use a qualified and competent technician who can service or replace power supplies
