Games & Applications
The VMUPro is a powerful handhleld device that can run its own Games and Applications, as well as emulate some retro systems.
You can download and run these Games and Applications and run them on the VMUPro. To do this, you first need to add the following folders on your VMUPro's microSD card root:
- games
- apps
Inside these folders you can then paste the .vmupack files you have downloaded. Once you have pasted your files there, the VMUPro will automatically detect them and display them under the Games and Apps categories in the Main Menu.

Emulators for the VMUPro
The VMUPro comes with the following emulators that can be downloaded from the following pages:
- Gnuboy Emulator A Game Boy and Game Boy Color Emulator that can run all games at full 60FPS! It also supports SRAM saves, save states, various palettes, 1x and 1.5x scaling and full folder browsing for your rom files. To install the emulator follow the link above and download the latest "gnuboy.vmupack" file. Install it on your microSD card under the "Games" folder.
- Nofrendo Emulator A NES / Famicom emulator that can run all games at full 60FPS at the NES native resolution! It supports SRAM saves, save states, palettes and full folder browsing for your rom files. To install the emulator follow the link above and download the latest "nofrendo.vmupack" file. Install it on your microSD card under the "Games" folder.
- SMSPlus GX Emulator A Master System / Game Gear emulator that can run all games at full 60fps! It supports SRAM saving, save states, full native resolution for Master System games and 1x / 1.5x scaling for Game Gear games, as well as full folder browsing for your rom files. To install the emulator follow the link above and download the latest "smsplus.vmupack" file. Install it on your microSD card under the "Games" folder.
Then you can create a folder "roms" on the root of your microSD card. In there create the relevant folders for your rom files:
- GNUBOY: Create a GameBoy folder for your roms. Example: /roms/GameBoy/rom1.gb(c)
- NOFRENDO: Create a NES folder for your roms. Example: /roms/NES/rom1.nes
- SMSPLUS GX: Create an SMSGG folder for your roms. Example: /roms/SMSGG/rom1.sms
All of emulators above support Sub-folders, so you can organise your rom files in sub-folders alphabetically, by region, by genre etc.!
